Is furniture rental cheaper than shipping?

For temporary postings to Australia from overseas, furniture rental can provide substantial savings compared to the cost and inconvenience of shipping furniture and goods into Australia.

Is furniture rental tax efficient?

Under Section 51(1) of the Income Tax Assessment Act, furniture rental payments are fully deductible as a business expense. This benefit extends to domestic furniture for housing and accommodation provided to employees, as well as furniture for business premises (reception areas, meeting rooms and boardrooms). Other commercial benefits:

  • As furniture has a low depreciation rate, the deduction for rental payments could be greater than the deduction available for depreciation and interest on purchased goods.
  • Rental provides positive net cash flow.
  • Rental offers great flexibility - after the initial rental period, the hirer can return the furniture, update it or purchase it.

  • Furniture will be in good condition when delivered and meet Australian safety standards.
  • Should any of our goods not meet your initial expectations, we will exchange or replace them free of charge.
  • Should you encounter any problems with your goods, we will repair or replace them free of charge.

Can I rent only a few items?

Yes, you can rent one item or an entire package.

Do I have to be present at the installation?

No. We can collect keys from a Real Estate Agent or meet your Relocation Agent on site, whatever suits you better.
